Home/Lands is an incredibly exciting Birmingham/Glasgow quartet with Alicia Gardner-Trejo on flute, baritone sax and bass clarinet, Andy Woodhead on piano and keys, Brodie Jarvie on bass and Jonathan Silk on drums. The group explore the concept of ‘home’ and the sense of belonging, by celebrating their relationships with not only the places but the objects, people, and music they hold most dear.

As part of the Home/Lands Chronicles project, Gardener-Trejo has been working alongside Birmingham based singer & cellist Laura Collins and spoken word artist Jasmine Gardosi to engage with local ensembles and youth groups to collect diverse narratives that make up the city of Birmingham. Gardener-Trejo, Gardosi, and Collins have then transformed these contributions from stories into music written exclusively for Birmingham.
